Helpful Tips for a successful playgroup
When establishing your playdates we recommend having playgroup twice a week. Moms like to have an 'opportunity to" attend playgroups and having it twice a week helps them to work around a busy schedule!
Have a "business" meeting once a month, to go over playgroup schedules and other events to do as a group...ie scrapbook events, moms night out, charity work, or party events to help promote those moms who work from home (tupperware, stamp'n up, partylite candles etc.)
As a chapter leader it is HIGHLY recommended that you attend all playgroups, once you get your group going, it would be good to find a co-leader to help with chapter duties!
Keep an eye out for moms @ the park you run into...they might just be looking for a playgroup and it never hurts to ask!
Create a "MOMS NIGHT OUT" this is very popular and moms deserve it. Once a month pick a place for dinner, bowling, movies, ANYTHING. Get those significant others to watch the kiddo's and GET OUT!
AT LEAST once a YEAR have a Family get together. For example a Summer BBQ or a Christmas party and invite those significant others, they like to make new friends too!
When your group gets larger, think about possibly starting a swapsitting loop. This is great help for moms who want to work out, grocery shop, go to school, or who just want an hour or two of peace and quiet, rest and relaxation!
Dont forget to go back to the message boards to find new moms. Turnover should be expected, don't let your group dwindle!!!
