The Things Kids Say |
|
You know as well as I do that there are times when the things that come out of our children's mouths will send us running from the room laughing our @$$es off. I don't know if your kids are like mine, but it seems that the time when I'm most likely to bust a gut laughing is when they are getting in trouble. I find that quite endearing even if it is a bit inconvenient. Check out below. There are some cute stories that your fellow emommies sent in that just might ring the proverbial bell. We're talking about real live emommieKids. Why don't you share one of your funny stories so we can all rotfl together. |
| From Matthew's
Mommie~ My son Matthew is 3 and a half years old and we have frequent discussions about cars, trucks, buses etc. But I didn't know he had become such an expert until the other day when I saw a whole parking lot full of school buses, and I said to him, "Look honey, there is where the school buses live!" He said to me "Mama, I think that is just where they park!" |
| From Noelle~ My daughter, Ariana, has to wear a uniform for gym class. It consists of either the uniform t-shirt, or sweatshirt and sweatpants. One September morning, as she was getting ready for school, she noticed that I had laid out her sweatshirt. She complained, asking for her t-shirt instead. When I explained that it was going to be too cold out to wear the t-shirt, she started in on the "everyone is going to be wearing t-shirts" whine. As much as I dreaded it, I felt the cold chill that runs up my neck, and I knew I had no other choice. I was going to act just like my mother. So, I wisely asked Ariana, in my most motherly voice, "If all the other kids jumped off a tall building, would you?" (cringe). My beautiful little kindergartner scrunched up her face in thought...then turned to me and asked very seriously, "Hmmm, I don't know...are they wearing t-shirts?" |
| From Noelle~ My 3 1/2 year old woke up from her nap the other day and her hair was sticking up all over. As she walked past our hallway mirror, she licked her fingers and tried to smooth out the mess (by the way, I've never done this to her). As she's smoothing, she looks at me and says very seriously, "I'm trying to make my hair look glorious." I busted out laughing. She was so serious. And where did she hear the word glorious? |
| From Sandy~ My 3 year old granddaughter had me rolling on the ground the other day. We were outside and she was just being her usual cute self. After a while, I said, "I could just eat you up." She responded, "No, grandma, I'm not on the menu." |
