Creative Ways to Give Money                                by Rachel Webb

Everyone likes to receive money as a gift, but giving money in a card can get boring. Here are some unique ways to give money that will surprise and delight the recipient.

SHOWER THEM WITH MONEY
Cut several 10 inch ribbons and tie several dollar bills in the middle to make a bow-tie. Next, tie the ribbon strands to the open spokes of the umbrella. While holding the umbrella partway open, push all of the ribbons and money into the umbrella and close it up so they can't be seen.

DUMP TRUCK
Buy a toy dump truck and fill it with unrolled coins then wrap the dump truck as usual. Tie some unused coin wrappers into your bow so that the child can enjoy rolling the coins later after the party. This idea also works great as a whimsical gift for a construction worker or at a retirement party for a truck driver use a semi truck full of money.

IT'S IN THE BANK
Buy a toy piggy bank or combination lock bank and fill it with cash as a  smart way to teach kids to start saving money. Open a savings account in  your child or grandchild's name as another way to give money that will be used wisely.

MONEY TREE
Cut a small tree branch with lots of smaller branches coming off the main one. Mix plaster of Paris with water for a stiff consistency and add it to a flower pot or other container. If you are using a terra-cotta pot make sure you cover the bottom drainage hole with plastic wrap or tape before filling it with the plaster. Next, insert the tree branch and let it harden overnight. Using hot glue add Spanish moss to cover the top of the plaster. You can also hot glue silk plant leaves to the branches for a realistic effect. Last, tie money bills to the tree branches for a unusual gift.

A DOZEN LONG STEMMED DOLLARS
Fold bills in half and roll tightly into miniature roses. Secure the roses with a craft wire or florist tape adding a silk stem and leaves as you wrap. Put the dollar roses in a fancy tissue lined box or beautiful vase with real baby's breath and floral filler for a very romantic way to give money!

PIŅATA PIGGY BANK
Not only do piņatas make a fun party game try stuffing it with coins and money as a fun gift idea! Learn how to make a Piņata Piggy Bank at this link: http://www.themestream.com/view_article.gsp?c_id=218777

It's A Mars/Venus Thing
by Lashawna Harrison

How often do you stop and wonder why your husband never seems to understand that you NEED him to stop spending all his time in his work shop or out in the garage? As we all know, us women need to have our husbands spend quality time with us. That is why we take them shopping with us, talk their ears off while they are reading or watching the game, and tell them (probably too much) that we love them and love their company.

Why do they not get the hint and spend more time with us? Do they want to spend time with us??? Of course they do!  In fact I have a secret for you.  A lot of men show their love by doing things around the house. Changing a light bulb says 'I love you' as well as unclogging the garbage disposal, fixing the squeaky door, and rigging your dishwasher to do things that you never imagined!  A better example might be Tim Allen's character on Home Improvement, if you have ever seen it, you know what I mean!

Guys are not all that great at saying the words "I love you" but the majority are awesome at showing it!  The best thing that we as women can do, is to acknowledge that we know what they mean when they make a special effort to do these wonderful things for us. Next time your hubby is in the workshop fixing the drawer on your jewelry box, don't nag him about being holed up by himself, go out and ask if he'd like a hand. So what if you don't know one end of a screw driver from another.  While he works on your box and you either stand and chat with him or help him out, you both get the best of both worlds. He gets to show his love by fixing something and you get to show yours buy hanging out with him.  It doesn't matter if you both enjoy the same things, as long as you enjoy each other's company!

Fun With Kids Recipe
Cheese Head
(Not to be confused with Chia Head)

Combine 8 ounces of cream cheese, 8 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/3 cup finely chopped veggies.  Once combined well, form mixture into a ball.

Next, add a dash of imagination and veggies such as alfalfa sprouts, cucumber, red pepper etc, to design a face for your Cheese Head.

This last part is VERY IMPORTANT.  Take a PICTURE and send it to emommies.net so we can all share a laugh.
