I
was due with my 2nd child 1-2-00. I did everything I could to
try to have
this baby myself with out being induced. They were checking my
fluid level
every week and monitoring me! I still didn't have the baby by my due
date and so they scheduled me for induction on 1-7-00 at 8am. My
fiancee David and I went in there at that time and day. They
asked me what I think they should use to induce me and I said I
don't care, LOL, I just wanted that baby out!
They
started out using the meocin pills on my cervix and they did a few
of them. Contractions started after a couple of the pills, so
I thought I was on the road to have the baby NOT!! The
contractions got sooo strong and then stopped!! I was so mad
and sad! They said it was too late to start the pitocin so we
stayed the night! The next morning they checked me and I still
wasn't dilated at all really! They decided to do pitocin this time.
I was on it for along time. Contractions now were getting
regular and more intense.
My water broke around 10pm the 8th! I was in the real labor
now!! I ended up getting an epidural, which took 4 tries, and
iv meds. I just couldn't handle it anymore! Not even an
hour after I got the epidural it was time to push! I was at 10
cm and only pushed for like 20 minutes and out she came . David got
to catch Meghan and kind of pull her body out! We both wer so
excited, big time! I got to breastfeed her immediately after
birth!! Her name is Meghan Joy Anderson!! |
