How Maddog met his wife ;)

"I met Eva online.....me and my friends decided one night, over a drink, to put a love add on aol to see who got responses....Eva responded to me....we wrote for a month or so, then we spoke on the phone....I picked her up at her house for our first date. We went to the Central Park Zoo. We both dressed in pants and t-shirts, thank god it was only 96 and humid for the day! LOL We had to take the subway and we were soaked! At the same time we both pulled a paper towel out of the same pocket and wiped our brows! We have the same number of tattoos, the same personalities, we were meant to be together...now we have 3 kids, 1 step daughter and 2 kids we had together.

Rob's (aka Maddog) proposal to his wife:

"Our baby was born before we got married....I went to the store and bought the ring I liked for her. I came home (the baby was about a month old) I put the ring in the baby's hand with a note attached saying will you marry my daddy....?" Rob and Eva have three girls and another little one which will be arriving in January :)

Natalie's (aka Lucky97) Strange Bubble Bath

"I had recently given birth to our daughter Rachel, and I hadn't slept much and was exhausted. When I was done putting the baby down for the evening, I heard the bath water running and went in the bathroom. Jared had lit every candle we owned and placed them all over the room. A wonderful bubble bath was forming, and he told me to get in. I did, and he left me alone to soak. I then noticed a strange "mountain-fresh" scent in the bubbles, and realized that we didn't have any bubble bath, so I called him back in and asked him what he used. He answered proudly, "dish soap!" I just laughed and told him I'd end up with not only dishpan hands, but dishpan BODY! It's the little things like that that mean the most!"

Lashawna's (aka Sunshine3899) 'first date'

"Forrest (my husband) and I were the best of friends for about a year and a half before we started dating. We would always go out to coffee or dinner. On night we were talking about our favorite restaurants and he mentioned that he loves the Olive Garden. Well I had never been there so he decided to take me. I just got a new black velvet dress and he told me that I should wear it to dinner. So I made him wear a tie so that I wouldn't look too out of place! On April 20, 1998 at 7 o'clock he rang my doorbell. We didn't talk much on the way up there. I think that in a way we both knew what was happening. We got to the restaurant and he ordered me swordfish. We talked about first dates and how they are so awkward because you don't know what to say and you are so nervous about making a fool out of yourself that it ends up being a really uncomfortable evening. Dinner was really nice. We got a table in a far back corner and the lights were really low and there wasn't anyone around. At one point during our after dinner cup of coffee, I looked up into his eyes and at that moment I fell in love with him. When he took me home he walked me to the door....we gave each other a big hug and said good night....I turned around and watched him walk back to the car.....Before I knew it I ran after him and said "you know...I think that was a perfect first date!" Then I ran inside the house. He stood by his car for a good 5 minutes smiling before he got in his car and left. Two days later I asked him out and two years later he asked me to marry him!"

Lashawna's Proposal story

On April 22, 2000 (our two year anniversary) Forrest totally surprised me! He flew me (it was my first time on an airplane) to Seattle, Washington. We stayed in the Madison on the 24th floor. The view was spectacular! I swear that you could see the whole city from our window! We had a wonderful time. We went shopping down at Pike's Market down on the water front and walked around down town all day. I kept bugging him to give me some money so that I could buy him something special for our anniversary. He kept saying that there is something in particular that I can get him and when the time comes he will tell me what is. It was so exasperating! That night we got all dressed up and went to the Assaggio (an Italian restaurant) for dinner. We both had pork linguini. It was so good...it just melted in my mouth! After dinner we went to the Space Needle, up to the observation deck. We were watching the sun go down and he told me "okay you can give it me now." I was like "what do you want me to get you....something from the gift shop???" I was so confused....At that moment he pulled the box out of his pocket and said "No, but you can say that you will marry me...." I almost fainted! I had NO IDEA that he was going to ask me to marry him! I said yes...obviously....and we got married on August 26, 2000!

Edie's Romantic Surprise

Several years ago, I was dating my best friends brother. He was a long haul
truck driver and was only in town once or twice a month. Our relationship was that of "convenience and companionship" so never in a million years would I have guessed I'd get the most romantic evening of my life from him!  It was my birthday, and I was out with the girls at the neighborhood club, getting sauced. They all pitched in and bought me a cake, some gifts and relished in making a fool out of me in front of the whole bar. I ordered another beer and when it got to the table, my best friend says, " OH, you need to drink that in the next ten minutes." I just looked at her weird and told her I wanted to stay and get wasted. I had spoken to her brother earlier in the day and was bummed...he called from Kansas City to wish me a happy  birthday and say he was sorry he couldn't make it for the celebration.  She still just  said "Drink up and don't ask questions."  I did what I was told. The next thing I knew, the girls were all running around packing up my gifts and acting nuts. Then they stood me up and blindfolded me. We drove for ten minutes or so, we stop, they get me out of the car and proceed to take pictures of me. Then they lead me somewhere, up steps through a door and inside somewhere.  All of a sudden the giggling stops and my best friend says, "Are you ready?" I say "Yeah, I have been for an hour>" She replies "Not you!"  Off comes the blindfold, there stands David! I threw my arms around him and then realize where I am! I am standing in the Greek  Experience room at the Fantasies hotel!  The hot tub was full and bubbling,  champagne was poured, and he had brought strawberries and whipped cream! The room was magnificent, with marble pillars surrounding the hot tub and a huge round bed surrounded by tapestry curtains. That was one of the most wonderful nights of my life and hands down the most romantic!
