Games for emommieToddlers

Water Relay:  Fun summer time fun for your little ones.
This game will provide you with great photo opportunities.  Your little ones will look so cute with their short little legs pumping, as they run and try to fill up their buckets first.  Make sure you have plenty of water in your kiddie pool.  Place 2 buckets (more if you've got more players) at equal distances from the pool.  Give each player a plastic cup and have them fill up their buckets with water from the pool.   You can adjust this game to fit the skill level of your youngster(s).  For tiny tots, pick smaller buckets and place them closer to the pool.  Move the buckets of older toddlers farther away from the pool.  You can also vary the size of the cup to make it harder or easier.

Rock Race:   This is a great outdoor game that is cheap cheap cheap!  Besides, what kid doesn't like to play with rocks?
First, have some fun by going on a rock hunt.  Find as many rocks as you can.   You will need a lot for this game!  Place them all in a box or basket and find an area to play your game.  A sidewalk will work well.  Draw a start line and then about 3 feet away, draw a finish line.  Make it closer for tiny tots (or tiny rocks).  Using the rocks you collected, have a race to see who can make their line of rocks reach the finish line first.

Beanie Baby Toss:   For those of you who don't collect them,  bean bag toys can make for great fun!
First, find a large cardboard box and cut holes in a couple of the sides.  Make the holes big enough so that your toddler can throw his bean bag toys through it but small enough that it is somewhat of a challenge.  You can even decorate the openings with bright colored paints to look like carnival games.  Make a bullseye or a clown's mouth.  When the box is finished, the games can begin.  Stand your cutie pie in front of the box with a basket of bean bag toys and let him fire away.  You get the job of standing by the box not only to retrieve the toys, but to be the cheerleader!
