"Just you wait until you have kids!" I couldn't even begin to count how many times I heard this as a child. I remember trying to figure out what had my mom in such a snit. Why was she being such a pain? And what was the bid deal anyway? It's amazing to me how things said to you as a child, by the adults in your life, can come back to "haunt" you. For me, the two big ones were, "If you don't start doing your sit-ups right, you'll have a flabby stomach when you get older." (Thank you so much Ms. Willoughby ~ my grade school gym teacher) and "Just wait until you have a daughter." Talk about curses. LOL.
Well, since I'm almost positive
that the majority of grandparents have uttered the "just you wait"
phrase a time or two, I decided to give you the opportunity to gloat. The
waiting is over! Share with us your "I told you so's".
